No-Gi
11:00 - 12:15

Training No-Gi is another facet of learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu. When training no Gi students wear board shorts and a rash guard. The lack of Gi limits the amount of friction produced when rolling meaning it tends to be a faster game. Without the use of the Gi some techniques are adapted and other techniques are used to acquire submissions.

BJJ Mixed Gi
17:30 - 19:00

Training with the Gi is a core part of your BJJ training. We have many Gi classes at Alliance BJJ Brisbane. The Gi, traditionally known as a kimono, is used in many different BJJ techniques including using the collar, sleeve or pants to carry out various sweeps, chokes and other submissions. The Gi provides a certain level of friction between Jiu-jitsu students whilst rolling and you grip the material whilst performing certain moves.

BJJ Pro Class
19:00 - 20:00
BJJ Pro Class

The pro team class is an intense class with focus on specific drills predominantly for use in competition although anyone is welcome to attend and fine tune their BJJ game. It gives you the opportunity to practice individual techniques that you are keen to learn. If you are keen to compete or just eager to up your game it's worth adding a pro team class onto your BJJ schedule.
